Missions

As God’s people we seek to live out Paul’s call for the Christian church to keep God’s Word at its core. “Let the word of Christ dwell in you richly, teaching and admonishing one another…”(Colossians 3:16). We witness the spiritual formation of disciples as we encounter God in worship, embrace His Word in Bible study and fellowship and impact all nations by living out the incarnational love of Jesus to all people. Jordan is located in a vibrant and growing suburb of Raleigh, which is in need of the Gospel message of Jesus Christ that transforms lives and strengthens families with the Lord’s mercy that is new every morning. As fully committed followers of Christ, we seek to work where the Spirit leads us to expand the Kingdom of God. We have recognized and experienced God’s work in us which enables us to embrace our calling to live here and serve here to the glory of God’s name.

  • Jordan supports Rev. Ted Krey and his family and Bill and Nicole Lohmeyer, a family from Jordan, who were called to the mission field in the Dominican Republic. The area is celebrating the establishment of several congregations, mission plants, the ordination of the first Dominican pastor, many seminarians studying for the pastoral office, the development of a deaconess training program, and the establishment of a group home for the custody and care of six orphaned children with disabilities.

  • Matthew Ministry

    1st and 3rd Saturdays

Volunteers of the congregation minister to both the physical and spiritual needs of people who are experiencing homelessness in Raleigh at the Oak City Outreach Center, 215 South Person St, Raleigh. This is a very hands-on ministry.

  • Our congregation has at its core a servant's heart formed by our Lord Jesus Christ who first served us. Empowered by God's unconditional love in Jesus Christ our congregation is embracing 2017 as a year of service. We will focus on one part of our community to serve each month. It is our desire to build up each other to see the vital importance of service as part of the life of all who are in Christ. Learn more about Live Here Serve Here.

  • Jordan’s Handy People are committed to helping those in need with routine maintenance repairs and projects around the home, and to share the gift of love and forgiveness that God has for us all. The work we do is help those who cannot help themselves due to personal limitations, burdens, needs or heavy hearts. Our service is born from the Lord’s encouragement to “Look after orphans and widows in their distress” (James 1:27).

  • Preston Pointe Worship Services

On the 1st and 3rd Tuesdays of the month Jordan hosts a worship service at Preston Pointe for residents and guests in Morrisville at 4 p.m. (1995 NW Cary Parkway, Morrisville). This is a great opportunity to join with an extension of Jordan and worshiping together during the middle of the week.
